Coordinated Kitchen and Bath

Putting together a kitchen is no easy task. The kitchen is probably the most complex part of the home, as it brings together electrical, gas, water, and other elements into one space. Waste management, cabinet styles, tiles, and lighting all need to be accounted for in a professional kitchen design.

At Coordinated Kitchen and Bath we know each kitchen is unique, shaped by existing concrete or support walls, studs, outlets, building codes, bylaws, engineering, and personal needs. Furthermore, unless your home is a single family house, a kitchen renovation can involve strata regulations.

With all of these concerns, it is of little surprise that most home owners undertaking a kitchen renovation will use the services of a professional kitchen renovation specialist, which means we have the experience to navigate all the issues that can confront any project. We have everything in our showroom to help you make a decision - from custom cabinets, countertops, and tiles, to state of the art Japanese and European fixtures.

You can visit our showroom at 123 East 1st street, check out our website at www.coordinatedkitchens.comwww.coordinatedkitchens.com, or call us at 604.985.9128. Our team of experienced designers, project managers, and contractors are ready to manage your project from start to finish.

Kitchen and Bath Renovation

This kitchen and bath renovation was completed some time ago, but still looks as if it were just installed. The customers called us back to do some additional service work and were most pleased with the product.

This kitchen renovation was part of a large general renovation that included an en suite bathroom remodel, as well as a main floor bathroom renovation. The kitchen features silver cloud Columbia Cabinets. Coordinated Kitchen and Bath is a long standing dealer of Columbia Cabinets, manufactured here in British Columbia in Abbotsford. The kitchen countertop is a Cambria Quartz slab cut and supplied by our local partner, Colonial Countertops.

The Quartz countertop has been cut with a standard front edge detail, and was cut on site for an under-mount stainless steel kitchen sink and faucet.

The cabinetry in the bathrooms and kitchens feature details such as tray dividers, lazy Susan unit (kitchen corner), recycle centre, decorative columns, and a pull out laundry hamper to the main floor bathroom. All the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen were installed with Blum soft close technology.

A Coordinated Kitchen and Bath History

A Coordinated History

In 1974 Udo Greve started Coordinated Kitchen and Bath, with a mission to renovate kitchens and bathrooms on Vancouver’s North Shore. Udo established Coordinated Kitchen and Bath’s showroom at its original location on East 1st Street to the east of St. Georges.

The Greve’s ran the company until the late 1980’s, when it was sold to its present owners, Michael and Paula Phillips, who relocated it to its current location at 123 East 1st Street (just east of Lonsdale and 1st Avenue). In the ensuing years, the Phillips' and their staff have continued the Greve’s tradition of renovating kitchens and bathrooms for homeowners on the North Shore. Over the years the quality and style of the products have greatly improved – in floor heating, low volume toilets, solid surface countertops, energy efficient lighting, stainless and built in appliances, solid wood cabinets, and more.

What has not changed is Coordinated Kitchen and Bath’s long term commitment to quality. A local family company with long term committed staff and established suppliers of cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures, means their customers know they are working with an organization committed to building a quality long term product. And the results speak for themselves – Coordinated gets most of its business from satisfied return customers and referrals.

To learn more about this company, as well as the bathroom and kitchen renovation process, visit their showroom at 123 East 1st Street, or check out their webpage at www.coordinatedkitchens.com. You can also call them at 604.985.9128, Allan, Mike, Dylan, Michael, and Paula will be happy to take your calls.

GIVE YOUR HOME A NEW LOOK FOR THE NEW YEAR

GIVE YOUR HOME A NEW LOOK FOR THE NEW YEAR

If you’re looking at upgrading your living space in 2015, what has not changed is the importance of having a clear design plan and an experienced project management team to implement it. For over 40 years North Shore residents have relied on Coordinated Kitchen and Bath, located at 123 East 1st Street in North Vancouver to provide them with their complete kitchen and bathroom home renovation needs.

From the design phase and throughout the construction project, this firm is an invaluable partner for home owners seeking the right combination of project management, interior design, and materials and fixtures.

When considering a renovation, Coordinated Kitchen and Bath advises that with every new season comes a fresh selection of trends and colours - materials, colours and paints are evolving as trends and tastes change. For this reason it important to ensure your renovation is nota trend, but rather a space that is a reflection of who you are and the things you love. Besides experienced design services, another advantage of working with Coordinated Kitchen and Bath is their distinct vertical integration, which means the specialist who sells you your kitchen and bathroom is also the person who will project manage its construction.

The advantage of this is that you work with one contact person rather than being handed off from a sales person to a project manager to a completions manager. This can be important in managing engineering issues, change orders, designs, materials choices and final deficiencies.

Furthermore, Coordinated’s project managers have years of experience selling, designing, and managing kitchen and bathroom renovation projects. To see samples of how Coordinated Kitchen and Bath have transformed the homes of your neighbours and friends on the North Shore, check out their online photo galleries at coordinatedkitchens.com, or drop by their showroom at 123 East 1st Street.

bathroom renovation on Vancouver’s westside

Coordinated Kitchen and Bath, along with builder Dave Parrott, recently completed a stunning bathroom renovation on Vancouver’s westside. This bathroom remodel involved the gutting of an existing south facing bathroom, followed by a complete redesign of the space.

As is clearly evident, the new bathroom is both an elegant synergy of old world charm interwoven with the latest in bathroom design. The centrepiece of the project is a beautiful white Victoria and Albert York bathtub with polished nickel drain set and a Sigma Butler Mill polished silver tub filler.

Both in and out the shower are 12 x 24 polished marble black forest tiles and 5 x 5 Anenome hand pressed wall tiles, which together create a seamless flow from the open shower into the bathroom. The shower stall features a discreet Aco channel drain system, a Sigma Faucets Butler Mill polished silver shower set, and clear glass shower panels. The bathroom cabinet vanity, manufactured by Columbia Cabinets, features painted maple shaker doors, along with a matched recessed cabinet above the Toto Acquia wall hung toilet.

The vanity countertop is Blanc de Rio Panazzo marble, with silver plated Sigma faucets and a Kohler Caxton undermount sink. The bathroom floors are heated throughout by a temperature controlled heating system.

North Shore News

Coordinated Kitchen and Bath has been serving customers on the North Shore and Vancouver since 1974, renovating and building kitchens and bathrooms for three and four generations of North Shore and Westside home owners.

Over the decades, one thing that has not changed is that design trends and technology never stop evolving. Kitchens and bathrooms have become ever more sophisticated, which often makes for kitchen and bathroom renovations that are considerably more involved than remodels of other areas of the home.

The kitchen brings together so many elements and is often the most used part of the home – high foot traffic, multiple appliances, water, electricity, lighting, gas. Bathrooms have also become increasingly sophisticated – heated floors, vapour barriers, water control systems, grouting, tile, infinity drains – all a far cry from the considerably more basic bathrooms being installed on the North Shore in the 1970’s.

Since 1974 Coordinated Kitchen and Bath has been building dozens and dozens of bathrooms and kitchens every year, which translates into a solid understanding of evolving design and technology trends. Through an established network of the finest suppliers and specialty trades, as well as its own in-house designers, project managers, and trades, Coordinated Kitchen and Bath’s customers are assured of having access to the best of what is available on the market.

Considering renovating your kitchen or bathrooms? Visit Coordinated Kitchen and Bath’s extensive showroom at 123 East 1st Street, North Vancouver, or do a virtual tour at www.coordinatedkitchens.com. They can also be reached by phone at 604.985.9128; Mike, Allan, Dylan, Paula, and Michael will be happy to answer any of your questions.
